Medical industry has come up with many wonderful options with the main goal of saving as many lives as possible. Not only do they have come up with some unique treatment procedures, the interested candidates are allowed to learn such techniques to save lives and also to utilize it in right places.

BLS (Basic Life Support)

Basic Life Support technique, as the name says is the type of medical procedure wherein some trainees with medical background will be trained for some weeks to help the ones in need. The training procedures involve resuscitating, reviving and even retaining the person’s heartbeat from fluctuating, especially the one who is suffering from sudden cardiac arrest.

Sometimes some people start feeling low in breath, asthmatic, pain in their chest area, etc., and all these can be the symptoms indicating that the lungs are not receiving enough oxygen. When lungs cannot retain enough oxygen, it automatically affects the working process of heart, since heart’s main work is to pump oxygenated blood to the arteries. Such issues can be seen in some exclusive set of patients, who have experienced drowning, stroke or heart attack, etc.

Certification Course

The BLS classes are available for the interested candidates with just few clicks away. All medical associations worldwide including Red Cross and American Heart Association AMA, are offering both traditional and online classes. If you are also interested, then all you have to do is find the respective websites of such medical associations and fill the application form available there. You can even visit the nearby medical association to know more about the classes.

The candidates for BLS training classes are usually preferred from the areas such as in-home care facilities for senior citizens, coaches, lifeguards, etc., since they come across such patients, who might require immediate attention when you face accidental situations.

The basic procedure that is taught in BLS training course will be mouth-to-mouth procedure that can help you resuscitate the unconscious person and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

CPR is the first and important medical procedure that is conducted on people, who suffered from drowning, suffocation, etc. and other such situations. The main reason for this procedure is to restore the circulation of oxygenated blood to the brain, so that it triggers normal functioning of the other body parts.

As you know, only heart can restore the working procedures in brain, by pumping oxygenated blood. When an expert does CPR on an unconscious person, he will be breathing oxygen directly into the mouth of the patient, by accumulating as much oxygen as possible from the surrounding.

Only through forceful breathing, the heart muscles can reset to their normal working mode. CPR also includes pumping the heart from outside, by following uniform rhythms, along with forceful breathing.

Even though you might have seen people conducting CPR on an unconscious person in movies or serials, never conclude that it might be an easy procedure. If you do not follow uniform rhythmic process, then there are chances that you might end up damaging the ribcage, which might accidentally pierce the heart and results with the death of the person. Only through weeks of training, you will get to master the procedure.
